23 Week Update

Bumping right along…

Baby size: Bunch of grapes, about 1.25 lbs and a little over a foot tall!

Stretch marks: Nope!

Sleep: Great. Getting 8 hours a night (mostly uninterrupted). My pregnancy pillow has been a big help in keeping me sleeping on my sides instead of my back.

Maternity clothes: Luckily, I work from home so I don’t have to wear ‘real clothes’ too often. I have been living in Gap’s maternity leggings and maternity t-shirts. I accidentally ordered two pair, but decided to keep both when I realized how comfortable they are! I invested in a pair of jeans and a few shirts and dresses. My SIL and my friend Amanda both gave me some of their maternity clothes so I didn’t have to buy too much.

Gender: male!

Movement: started feeling him earlier in September. He’s definitely getting more active. Usually he’s most active mid-morning, when I’m going to bed and around 5 AM he likes to do karate and somersaults.

Best moment this week: Attending baby W’s first wedding and relaxing at the beach.

Food cravings: Milk, cereal, fruit, seafood, Thai food, Zuppa Toscana (wrong season but I can’t get enough of it!), and potatoes in any form!

Food Aversions:  Grilled Chicken, Whole30 Buffalo wings (we used to have this weekly!), spinach and too ripe bananas

Anything making you queasy or sick: The smell of whiskey/scotch. LW has to keep his drinks away from my nose! And any too-smelly fish.

Missing anything: Long runs, tuna tacos from Soul Gastrolounge, sushi with raw fish, runny eggs, IPAs, steak cooked rare to medium rare…

Symptoms: occasional round ligament pain, this week I had some hip/back pain but I think it was probably activity related, my feet have gotten a little swollen a few times but not too bad (walking in heels at the wedding was tough!).
