My incredibly sweet sister-in-law, Kerah, threw a shower for me in Charlotte so that I could see all of my friends and our family that live there.
I can’t begin to tell you how amazing it was to wrap my arms around each of my friends that I haven’t seen since we moved! (Also, I got to spend the night with my niece and nephew who are the coolest 2 and 4 year olds I’ve ever met!).
Everyone decorated a block for the baby when they came in – in between chatting and eating Kerah’s delicious chicken salad and pumpkin spice cupcakes.
Once again, I was completely amazed and overwhelmed with everyone’s generosity when it came to gifts. Our little man has no idea how loved he already is! Everyone definitely went above and beyond in helping us make sure we have the right items for when he arrives. I loved all of my friends who are new moms who gave items that have been super helpful to them – and of course, we got even more adorable clothes. This child will be well dressed and warm always with all the clothes and blankets he has been given.
Instead of cards, my SIL asked everyone to bring a book for the baby. SUCH a good idea! It really helped fill up our bookshelf in his room and I love that we’ll always have those personalized books from people who mean so much to us.
I really can’t even begin to tell you how grateful I am to have such amazing family and friends who would celebrate me and my baby and shower us with so much love. My heart was is so full all over again as I reminisce on that most perfect day!
