Body Back (not yet)

August 7, 2017 chapelhillbabyLeave a comment

During my pregnancy, I joined Fit4Mom‘s Fit4Baby program. Admittedly, I could have (and wish I would have) done this earlier. I loved having other moms who were in the same preggo boat with me to work out with, ask questions of and just talk to about what was to come. Many of us were first time… Continue reading Body Back (not yet)

38 Week Update

January 14, 2017January 14, 2017 chapelhillbabyLeave a comment

38 weeks caused us to feel a sense of urgency about EVERYTHING. I went into high-nesting mode and froze a bunch of crockpot dinners, made energy bites for the hospital and provided directions on what needed to be cleaned (I helped where I could but obviously avoided any chemicals). After meeting with our doula for… Continue reading 38 Week Update

Winter Wonderland in CH

January 11, 2017January 9, 2017 chapelhillbabyLeave a comment

This past weekend brought us our first snow of the year, and also our first snow since living in Chapel Hill. We only got about 3-4 inches and some ice mixed in with it but it made for a pretty couple days around the neighborhood. It was also incredibly cold, so it made for a… Continue reading Winter Wonderland in CH

36/37 Week Update

January 4, 2017 chapelhillbabyLeave a comment

I’m technically 37 weeks now, so I’m going to combine weeks 36 and 37 into one post. I just had my 37 week appointment and everything looks good. Strong heartbeat, still active and still head down – but also still carrying high so probably not coming in the immediate future. That being said, I’m getting… Continue reading 36/37 Week Update

35 Week Update

December 26, 2016 chapelhillbabyLeave a comment

It is crazy to think that Christmas has already come and gone and we are another week closer to meeting our sweet babe. The holidays haven’t really felt like the holidays to us this year – we’re chalking it up to our minds being pre-occupied with baby thoughts. That being said, we had a wonderful… Continue reading 35 Week Update

Classes on classes on classes

December 22, 2016December 22, 2016 chapelhillbabyLeave a comment

We may have been a little overeager in our signing up for classes once we arrived in Chapel Hill. We signed up for Prepared Childbirth which was a 4 week, 3 hours every Sunday class. Then there was the hospital tour, a two hour ‘class’ on a weeknight which LW had to fly home early… Continue reading Classes on classes on classes

34 Week Update!

December 16, 2016 chapelhillbabyLeave a comment

We are cruising right along and now just over a month away from meeting our little man (or at least hitting our due date!). We’re asking that everyone cross their fingers he is born by his due date – because this mama is ready to be able to tie her shoes without grunting, get out… Continue reading 34 Week Update!

Spent the whole day loving on this tiny human. He is hilarious and exhausting and soooo strong-willed. 🙆🏼‍♀️ But he told me at least a hundred times that he loves me, randomly hugged and kissed me and requested that I “do baff and bed” even though his dad wasn’t here so I was the only possible option. Grateful for those moments and the great weather we had today which allowed for lots of outside time! (How is this his THIRD valentines day? Swipe for 1 & 2!) #liamjis2
As I daydream about our Costa Rica vacation — I am the happiest that I get to spend my exciting days traveling with you and also my relaxing days home on the couch with you. Thank you for loving me at my worst and making me a better person, and also for always being the one to empty the dishwasher because it’s the worst. You are — and always will be — my favorite part of every day. I can’t wait to check off another country and bucket list destination with you, Valentine. 💕
Chocolate chip Valentine’s Day pancakes (or “pan-wa-cakes” as he calls them) for my littlest love 💕
My love for #theoffice has extended from Netflix binges to our closets. True story: when L was a tiny baby, he would turn his head and smile when he heard the theme song and when he was about 8 months old, we were laying on the couch and he started dancing to the theme song. 😂
When you can’t decide what you want for lunch, you have a little bit of everything. 👏🏼😬
A little behind but our baby is T-W-O! He’s spunky and sweet, loves to make people laugh, has an incredible imagination and talks constantly. His perfect day would consist of breakfast at “the truck place” and then a trip to the museum to ride the train and ending with popcorn and a bubble bath. We love him more than words could ever say and are so lucky he’s our little bear. 💕 #liamjis2
