A Day at Dorothea Dix Park

Summer and sunflower fields go hand in hand. Last summer, we stopped along the side of the road to take pictures with about 100 other people. It was a cluster. This year, we opted for Dorthea Dix Park in Raleigh. We got there pretty early but it was still very crowded. I was amazed with… Continue reading A Day at Dorothea Dix Park

Experiences over “stuff”

November 21, 2017November 25, 2017 chapelhillbabyLeave a comment

A friend and I were talking about asking for experiences for our kids for Christmas over a bunch of things that will be tossed aside in a few months time (seriously, these kids outgrow toys in 90 days!). For those in Chapel Hill (or the triangle area), here’s what we came up with for our… Continue reading Experiences over “stuff”

Basic Fall Weekend

October 16, 2017October 16, 2017 chapelhillbabyLeave a comment

This weekend might have been one of my favorites, ever. Actually, I’m loving all of October. All of Fall, thus far.  Last weekend, we visited the North Carolina Zoo with our little bear. This weekend, we visited the pumpkin “patch”, stumbled across a Harvest Festival and then went to the State Fair.  The pumpkin patch… Continue reading Basic Fall Weekend

Spent the whole day loving on this tiny human. He is hilarious and exhausting and soooo strong-willed. 🙆🏼‍♀️ But he told me at least a hundred times that he loves me, randomly hugged and kissed me and requested that I “do baff and bed” even though his dad wasn’t here so I was the only possible option. Grateful for those moments and the great weather we had today which allowed for lots of outside time! (How is this his THIRD valentines day? Swipe for 1 & 2!) #liamjis2
As I daydream about our Costa Rica vacation — I am the happiest that I get to spend my exciting days traveling with you and also my relaxing days home on the couch with you. Thank you for loving me at my worst and making me a better person, and also for always being the one to empty the dishwasher because it’s the worst. You are — and always will be — my favorite part of every day. I can’t wait to check off another country and bucket list destination with you, Valentine. 💕
Chocolate chip Valentine’s Day pancakes (or “pan-wa-cakes” as he calls them) for my littlest love 💕
My love for #theoffice has extended from Netflix binges to our closets. True story: when L was a tiny baby, he would turn his head and smile when he heard the theme song and when he was about 8 months old, we were laying on the couch and he started dancing to the theme song. 😂
When you can’t decide what you want for lunch, you have a little bit of everything. 👏🏼😬
A little behind but our baby is T-W-O! He’s spunky and sweet, loves to make people laugh, has an incredible imagination and talks constantly. His perfect day would consist of breakfast at “the truck place” and then a trip to the museum to ride the train and ending with popcorn and a bubble bath. We love him more than words could ever say and are so lucky he’s our little bear. 💕 #liamjis2
