5 Months! 

I have been a bad blogger… but only because I’ve been such a busy mama lately. Liam is 5 months old, sitting on his own, army crawling and completely obsessed with his doggies. 

Tucker believes Liam is throwing his toy for him so he brings it back to him and stares until he throws it again. 🙄 Liam giggles and squeals the whole time. 

We had a doctor’s appointment this month and Liam weight 16 lbs and 12 oz. He’s right at the 50th percentile for height and weight and still has a big ol’ head to contain that huge brain. 

Liam got to go to the beach for the first time this month and put his toes in the water. He preferred sitting in his tent and people watching and he definitely did not like when a wave came from behind and hit him and his daddy. 

He is really interested in his cousin Trent and can’t wait to be able to walk on his own and eat real food. 

He cannot be trusted to stay where you put him at this point. He quickly flips over and will even pull himself to a sitting position in his pack n’ play so our days of stepping out of the room for two seconds are over. 

He’s the snugliest little guy in the mornings and evenings. Still loves his naps and is mostly sleeping through the night again. The 4-month sleep regression just about killed us but we made it! 

His new favorite toy is his VTech Wiggle and Crawl ball. He still loves to read, chews on Sophie like his life depends on it and thinks it’s the funniest thing ever when you snort or oink at him. 

We are even more in love with him now (which we didn’t think was possible) and love watching him grow and discover new things. He is an observant and curious little boy and will spent tons of time watching someone/something to try and figure it out. We don’t do TV for him yet but I have let him nap on me while watching a few movies. Last night’s pick was The Land Before Time. 

We’re looking forward to introducing him to more family in August. It’s been so nice to have our families only a couple hours away. He has seen his Obbie every month since he was born, his cousins each several times and he’s fortunate to get to spend every day with his Gramma and Granddad. 

Lucky to call this happy little babe ours and can’t believe how fast time is flying. If someone finds a pause button, let me know!
