It’s November?

Somehow I blinked and October disappeared! It was such a busy, fast month with so many family activities and also lots of work travel for me.

I went to Boston for a few days at the beginning of the month (with a layover in DC). It was a tough trip and I couldn’t wait to get home!

We spent so much time at the park this month. L usually asks me a couple times a week and after having been gone for several days and knowing I couldn’t take him at 8 am when he asked, I grabbed milk, snacks and trucks and surprised him on the way home from daycare. His smile says it all.

We got a new patio poured off of our screened in porch. It is L’s new favorite place to play and makes grilling much easier!

Tucker has found his boy! And L actually tells us when we ask him whose boy he is that he’s “Tucker’s boy!” These two have become such good pals and it melts my heart.

We had friends visit in mid-October and went to a football game with them at UNC (and won in the last 2 minutes!!!). #gohokies

We went to the NC State Fair and all tried our first fried Oreo. Safe to say we all loved it and are glad the fair only happens once a year so we can’t get fat off those!

I had to go back to Boston but only for a couple days this time. The view never gets old.

We finally rode a train. L asks to do this DAILY. We’ve only done it once before but this time was special, it was the pumpkin train at the Museum of Life & Science. We got to pick our own pumpkins and play in the hay maze and corn crib.

I ran the Bull City 5-Miler with the incredible group of mamas I trained for 8 weeks. Everyone did such an amazing job and the whole morning was so special! We are not yet a fan of Woole Bull.

We visited the aquarium at Fort fisher and saw the dinosaurs again. Verdict: still scary.

We spent time with family and L got to meet his great aunt Lucy! Such a special day and gorgeous lunch at Smoke on the Water in Wilmington.

We finished off the trip with a stop at the Carolina Beach fire station and quick walk on the beach.

When we don’t go to the park, we spend time in our backyard. He loves to push this car around and get in and out of it.

We finished off the month with Halloween! Is that not the cutest cat in the hat you’ve ever seen? We’ve had the Thing 1 & Thing 2 costumes for NINE years. Thank goodness we kept those 😂

And now it’s November! I can believe we’re only a couple months away from my baby turning TWO!
